Here is what I did this week. Im not going to lie it has been a struggle to fit in running now that I have started a new internship, commuting, and school. This week was not that great of a week because I needed to get adjusted to my new schedule. Any who I am happy that the weeks repeat themselves so I can move on from the awful training week. I feel like sometimes I am not a true runner because life can get so busy. Ehh whatever….
Stats for the week
Monday: 1.05 Mile Walk (From Union Station to the Red Line, Washington Wells Brown line stop to City Hall, City Hall to Union Station)
Orange Theory Fitness
1.13 mile run 8:50 min/mile
We warmed up for thirty minutes on the treadmill doing lots of sprints and intervals and then we did weights.
-I was extremely busy with school work and hanging out with my family who came over from Michigan.
-I only slept three hours on Tuesday night so I was a Zombie. A walking zombie and I had no energy whats so ever to do cross training.
Thursday: 4.00 mile Run 34:00 8:26 min/mile Speed Work
1 mile warm up @ 6.3 mph

Friday: 20 minute Incline Walk+ Upper Body Weights (I forgot to log this in)
Saturday: 4 mile run in 40:30 10:07 min/mile
I ran in 9 degree weather and I decided to run around the neighborhood. I think the treadmill incline walk is what threw my calfs in for a loop. They hurt so bad when I was done running so I wore compression around the house until it was time to go.
Sunday: Orange Theory Fitness (Keeping my endurance up)
UGH! I should know better not to run back to back days. Ever since I injured my calf my calf it pulls when ever I run back to back. So no 6 mile run today. Great I’m almost halfway through my training and I am skipping a long run. :(
So I am thinking of fitting in my long run this week on Tuesday.
Here is what I have planned for this upcoming week. The great thing about my half marathon training plan is that I started one week early before I should have actually started training so I can repeat this week going in with a better attitude and knowing what my schedule is like!
