Week 8 of training was fun! Just a forewarning this post maybe long.
Sunday: 7 miles 1:11:48 10:15 min/mile
Wednesday: 3.2 mile treadmill run
Thursday: 4.5 mile run 8:48 min/mile
Friday: 2 mile run 18:00 9:00 min/mile
Sunday: 8 miles 1:23:00 10:22 min/mile at Swallow Cliff Woods
So my Garmin didn’t pick up signal for .8 miles but the person I was running with said that we ran .8 miles in 6 minutes.
Lets talk about this long run. So I ran on the trails near my house. Swallow Cliff is extremely hilly.

The maximum elevation was 755ft! Holy crap!
I also took a gel at mile 4.
The Accel Gel went down really smooth and I liked it better than the GU I tried last week.
Overall I am so happy that I ran 8 miles on a hilly trail. I like trail running. Swallow Cliff is so beautiful. I didn’t snap any pictures but if you are ever in the southwest suburbs check it out sometime! I am somewhat happy with my time but I know I could have gone faster if it was a flat course. I would like to finish my half marathon in 2:00-2:10. We will see though!
